Have you ever tried wearing organic clothes? They may be the single most comfortable thing on this Earth, and that’s why I stock all the organic clothes I can in my store! They’re also really important for sustainability and health in agriculture, so you can start to see why I love them SO MUCH. Let’s talk about it!
First, what are organic clothes? Plain and simple, they are clothes made from organic cotton. That means no toxic chemical fertilizers or pesticides were used to grow it, so it’s the most natural you can get from manufactured clothing!
That has a lot of effects down the road. For instance, not using chemicals is way safer for everyone working the crop. The health of organic farmers is protected by the lack of pesticides. Our farmers deserve it! Also, organic cotton can use up to 91% less water than non-organic, cause less water pollution (so no chemicals traveling with the water), AND it’s better for global warming! Organic cotton makes way fewer greenhouse gases than regular does.
What Do Organic Clothes Mean for You?
These are all wonderful things about organic clothes, but how is it better for the person wearing them? Well I’m glad you asked! Since the cotton doesn’t have to protect itself from harsh chemicals while it’s growing, it grows softer.
Many people have really sensitive skin. Should they have to wear clothes that feel scratchy and rough? No way! Everyone deserves clothes they feel COMFORTABLE in. This kind of cotton, that can be woven so fine and soft, is the perfect solution for so many people.
Organic clothing is simply better. Better for the environment, better for the health of the farmers, and better to wear!
